About Makinson & Co
We are a long established local firm of accountants specialising in the personal touch with both our business and personal clients.
Our principal is Craig Saunders who joined the firm straight from school in 1985. Having passed his AAT exams in Gloucester with distinction, Craig completed his ACCA exams in Newport where he was awarded college prizes including the Sir Julian Hodge prize.
Having completed his own education he decided to give something back and worked as a part time lecturer in Gloucester, specialising in taxation and auditing. The knowledge he gained during his years as a lecturer has enabled Craig to help clients, especially when setting up new systems.
Away from the office Craig is a Gloucester rugby season ticket holder, enjoys cycling and has a love of speedway that has seen him travel the world to watch events and competitions.
We are proud to say that we are still carrying out work for the son of the original owner of Makinson & Co who is now in his 80s.
